Bright Wellness was born out of the desire to aid in the healing of the planet through working with individuals.

Before I started my own healing journey, I was disconnected from my body and didn’t have the tools to nourish my mind and spirit. I felt anxious, depressed and lost. Through studying the valuable disciplines of Yoga and Ayurveda, I was able to learn ways to support a more positive state of mind, tune into my body and get more clear about what I wanted to do in the world. 

 

Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences intended to heal the whole body, mind and spirit. As I began practicing as a Massage Therapist,  these principles greatly influenced my treatments and I was able to support others with the tools that had first supported me.

 

As a passionate advocate for the well-being of the Earth and all of the creatures who live on it, I found great fulfillment in helping others live more peaceful and vibrant lives. Because we are each part and parcel of this entire Universal ecosystem, our individual healing affects the whole. It causes a ripple effect that has the potential to create massive change in our world.

 

We are so much more powerful than we realize!

When I returned to my athletic career in my late twenties, a new depth blossomed in my massage practice. I learned through my own body what adult athletes need in their cross-training and bodywork. I saw a need in myself and in my athletic clients for a more restorative approach to yoga and sports massage than just vinyasa  and deep tissue.

Many of my clients were middle-aged women who were balancing busy work and family lives with a demanding training schedule. They were burned out and craving reprieve from the aches and pains related to their sport and various life responsibilities they had.

I developed my signature “Holistic Sports Massage” through my background in Sports and Medical Massage and extensive Ayurveda and Yoga training. It’s a unique blend of Just-Deep-Enough-Tissue Massage and Dynamic Cupping Therapy combined with nourishing principles from Thai Yoga Massage and the ancient Ayurvedic technique, abhyanga.

I believe in a holistic approach to healing.

We must nourish our bodies through proper nutrition, appropriate exercise, adequate sleep, self care and receiving support from others when we need it. We must nourish our minds by keeping them engaged and by practicing tools that keep us calm and centered. We must take care of our spirits by doing things that bring us joy so we can stay encouraged and excited about life. 

 

When one area of our life is out of balance, the entire system suffers – on an individual level and even on a communal level. We each have a responsibility to take care of our own health so we can get out there and do what we were meant to do in this lifetime.

Bright Wellness specializes in supporting heart-centered folx heal from physical pain, reduce stress and connect with their authentic nature so they can live in alignment with the brightest version of themselves. Through Therapeutic Massage, Holistic Sports Massage and 1:1 Yoga, I customize unique treatments that support balancing the entire system of each individual I work with.

 

My sincere hope is that through my work you may find more joy, ease and

inspiration to live the most fulfilling life you can imagine.
